Eclectic elegance.

White is nice.

A little of this, a little of that...

When I'm not Interior Designing or serving Mojitos, you can sometimes find me creating party invites, flyers, or in this case 1500 postcards for Teen Vogue's Fashion Night Out party. These cards were created to promote BFF Bracelets, which in turn Supports The Troops and their families. Get yours at BFF.tv. Happy Fashion Week!!!

Lately.

Curious Yellow design

I am happy to say that the reason I've been missing in action is not because of lack of creativity or inspiration, but rather because I've been so incredibly busy. After sifting through various possibilities and choices, I finally ended up with a part-time waitressing gig at a delicious Latin Restaurant in Alphabet City, Esperanto, and an Internship at a new Interior Design firm called Curious Yellow. Monday through Wednesday you'll find me on Soho searching for beautiful furniture and the rest of the days, I'm slinging Diabalo Verde's and coconut marinated fish and daydreaming about my various side-projects.

Always as good as it looks: The food of Mexico.

Mexico is a feast for the senses. Everywhere, from an exquisite church to a simple taco stand, there is an abundance of color and texture; great care is taken in the aesthetic and feel of everything. First of all, the food. Throughout the country we found the most spectacular tacos, tostadas, empenadas, tortas, nachos, fish, treats and more. Nearly everything was cheap (try 60 cent tacos) and prepared with only the freshest ingredients. On our 36 hour bus ride across the country we would stop at random roadside stands and rather than munching on a chain burger, we'd feast on chicken tomales with verde sauce, flan and a glass bottle of Coke.

Following ROA around

I became a fan of street artist ROA when he pasted his huge sketchy animals (and animal parts) all over Brooklyn and NYC. Now he's in Mexico! We'll be checking these out in person in exactly one week. Word.

Great name Gary Spain.

Wait, decorators really do use pencil sketches. San Francisco based designer, Gary Spain, created this living room for the first ever Elle Decor Showhouse. I love 90% of the elements involved: mixing of modern and antique, terrariums, large print photos, animal heads, and playful sculptures. Brava!
