One block in Bushwick.

Last night Gustavo and I were going to check out some gallery openings and suck down some oysters in Chelsea; but we were lazy and decided to keep it cheap and stick to a single block --Flushing between Morgan and Knickerbocker-- in our good old neighborhood of Bushwick, BK. First we checked out an opening at Factory Fresh, Among Darkened Woods, which is an interesting group show with all of the inspired in some way by Dante's Inferno. Art and beer: FREE. Then we stopped by a new bar, with a lovely backyard and classy drinks, called The Narrows. Incredibly made Old-Fashioned and a Mas Bonita (involving jalapeno infused tequila, lime juice, and cucumber): $19+tip. Then down the block to one of our our favorite "hole-in-the wall" Mexican joints: Taqueria El Fogon. 4 tacos and 2 beers: $16+tip (amazing). We walked home a bit tipsy, totally satisfied, and only $40 later.
